Skilled Migration

Wimmera Southern Mallee Skilled Migration Program

Bringing skilled professionals to our region from around the world

The Wimmera Southern Mallee Skilled Migration Program works with local businesses and organisations to fill skills gaps with professionals from overseas.

We specialise in the visa application process, helping businesses and skilled professionals settle in quickly and successfully.

We recognise that moving to a new country and culture is difficult, and we aim to help new arrivals at each stage of their journey, from arrival, to settling in, and then the act of joining in the lifestyle and communities of the region.

Some of the services that we offer to employers:

Work visa application assistance which can save the employer or skilled significant costs, depending on the complexity of the application

Assisting your search for the right person with the right skills to suit your business.

A comprehensive Welcome Kit to help skilled migrants as they adjust to a new culture and new work practices.

The Skilled Migration Initiative is provided with support from the Wimmera Development Association in partnership with the Municipalities of West Wimmera, Hindmarsh, Yarriambiack and Horsham Rural City, industry and associated communities.
